I was allowed in, no problems and as we were walking up the stairs to get into the bar/venue, we could hear 4GM playing Premonition: not bad
I walked in and the crowd wasn't too thick, so I made my way next to Shirl in front row. Ian saw me straight away and said "Elizabethhh!!" and I'm like "Hey Ian!" (this was in the middle of a song) and he shook my hand and kissed me on the cheek and held both of my hands and said "Great to finally see you!"
So, after a few numbers, he almost made me sing into the mic, but a jumped back and screamed in horror/shock LOL!! Everyone laughed. He then tried again and this time I was pushed into the mic LOL!!

So the gig ended and me and some of the ladies decided to have a dance on the dancefloor, great 80's music!

Brian McGee was in the crowd, just casually at the bar.
Derek came out first and was chatting to Brian and the original (?????) Johnny and the Self Abusers guitarist (who now lives in Oz), forgot his name, any help??

Derek then came over and said hello. Gave him a hug and a kiss too. He then introduced me to Brian and the guitarist. More hugs and kisses LOL!
We then had our pic taken and I was having a chat to Brian. He asked what did I think of the Glasgow show and I said I loved it etc...

Then finally, Ian came out and somehow snuck up behidn me, we ran into eachothers arms and he even picked me up LOL  He said it was great we'd come from Australia and I am now an 'Honorary (spelling?) Glaswegian"
He also asked if I enjoyed the 'Minds gig and I said yes. He asked if it was my first SM gig and I said "Nah, it was my 6th" *shows 6 fingers* LOL!

All in all, superb performance! Will never forget this experience! Thank you to the band for being so nice and for taking the time for all the fans for pics/chats!
Love, E xx
