Hi Everyone,

As some of you know I have been to Scotland with hubby for our yearly holiday. We had such a great time again. Hubby and I finally did the Tourist thing and took the Tourbus around Glasgow Laughing

I did meet Graeme once, playing with his two brothers Stuart and Malcolm (R.I.P) if I remember correctly in some church hall in Glasgow's south side. I'm sure that Graeme was sporting a goatee beard and bearing a remarkable similarity to a young Dave Stewart! If I can find the photographic evidence, are we talking about sealed envelopes deposited at midnight in a park's dustbin, or shall I just post the photos here? Wink

I was privileged to get to know Graeme's late brother, Malcolm fairly well in the early '80's when he was playing drums with Scotsrock. He was an immensely talented drummer with a sublime sense of humour. I also met Graeme's other brother, Stuart at around the same time too, in Aberdeen, when he was fretless bass player with "Talking Drums" - how I've searched and searched and searched for a copy of their album, "Fighting To The Finish", but, sadly, to no avail. It seems that Sticky Records is long-since demised.

I even got to meet 'lil sis, Fiona, several times, as I used to be quite friendly with Altered Images at the time, and Fiona always seemed to be at the Rock Garden or Henry Africa's when we'd visit.

Anyway, it was good to see Graeme's career reflected the immense musical tallent shown by all the Duffin boys!

They recentely released a new album which Graeme helped produce.

Graeme's son and daughter are also very gifted musicians , its in the Duffin genes Cool

Anyway, you're obviously passionate about promoting the VERY best in Scottish musical talent - GREAT! Just hope your passion doesn't extend to promoting the VERY "best" in Dutch 'cuisine' or the rider at the next 4GM show in Holland will consist of raw herring, Febo burgers and salted liquorice! Wink

If I come across the bearded Graeme Duffin photo, I'll scan it and mail it to you. Smile

They came to Zaandam last year 22-04-07 . We had a lovely chat with them all, took pics with them and they were so kind to sign things.

The gig they did was SUPERB although. sorry to say, there weren't a lot of people there it was almost a private gig Cool

.
In fact Ian was very funny when he introduced the band and then started to point at the crowd naming most of us too Laughing

.

It was a great night but I did feel sorry for them that there wasn't a big crowd waiting for them Embarassed
