Great night at the Cavern last night - We were not going to be disappointed. How could we be, with a band lineup which included Steve H, Smiley, Pablo, Derek and Mike!!  It was lovely to see so many familiar faces in the crowd from the Alarm fanbase. The setlist was a dream for any fan of the music of the wonderful Joe Strummer and is as follows:

Techno D-Day
London Calling
Rudy Can't Fail
Tony Adams
The Harder They Come
Johnny Appleseed
Police On My Back
Redemption Song
X-Ray Style
Mondo Bongo
Rock The Casbah
White Man In Hammersmith Palais
Yalla Yalla
Pressure Drop
Brand New Cadillac
Tommy Gun
Safe European Home
----------------------------------------
Bankrobber
I Fought The Law
White Riot

Andrea and Jim - Thanks for your company. It was lovely to meet up with you as always, and here's to the next time!!  Very Happy

Review from my mate Bill of Liverpool band "Flight" on the gig....

"Cracking night last night, with the Los Mondo Bongo paying tribute to the music of Joe Strummer & The Clash.
The band (Mike Peters (Alarm) vocals, Derek Forbes (Simple Minds) bass, Steve Harris (Gary Numan) guitar, Pablo Cook and Smiley Culture (Mescalero's) drums and percussion were excellent, especially Steve Harris who is far more suited it seems playing this stuff than Numan's psudeo industrial bollox.
Set list included 'London Calling', 'White Man In Hammersmith Palais', 'Yalla Yalla', 'Johnny Appleseed', 'Safe European Home', 'Tommy Gun', 'Bankrobber', 'X-Ray Style' , 'Brand New Cadillac' and ending with a blistering version of 'White Riot'. "

Great photos Andrea.. lost count of the drinks, but Keith played back a very slurry message that I left him on his mobile the following day. I just about made out the words "Hi Keith.... slurry words in between.. World Museum!!" (That was the place we'd arranged for the lift meeting place!!)  Laughing  Embarassed
