The MOST EXPLOSIVE stage(d) act outwith Operation Enduring Freedom!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgTOkE_T0O4

I was a wee bit surprised that British people seem to know little, or even nothing about this German music group.  I even had a few beers with the lead singer of a Led Zeppelin cover group a few months back who I bumped into, Billy (Kulke from Letz Zep) had NEVER heard of them!!!

Despite that, they can command 50+ thousand audiences at stadium gigs throughout Europe!

Admittedly, I can't speak German, but it's not too disimilar to Dutch, but the shear power and intensity of their music makes up for the language barrier ...

From Dusk To Dawn anyone? ... Wink

Or a graphic interpretation of American Imperialism? ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w9EksAo5hY

Or for a bit of homo-erotic art (Still can't work out what message they're sending out here!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w9EksAo5hY

Maybe a reminder what the 1936 Berlin Olympics Promo Video looked like (!!!) - They DENY ANY links to Nazism, by the way.

A face off with the German Police?

Would love to say my 'kids' were chasing up the stairs in this video! Wink

Snow White and the Seven Perverts anyone? Wink

They are ALL superb musicians too.  As former East German residents the only way they could continue to play was to prove their musicianship to the powers-that-be.  I LOVE them!!!

albeit they are from my home country , i never really liked them ... & really dislike their takes on covers like dm's "stripped" & kw's "the model" , sorry !

a funny fact about them is that they once supported KMFDM on their quite successful u. s. tour about two decades ago , but are by now much more famous then KMFDM ever were in germany - where both bands come from - or europe in general ! Embarassed

anyway ... i still prefer their main influences like LAIBACH , MINISTRY , NIN & KMFDM to rammstain ... err ... rammstein !  Twisted Evil

Big fan of Rammstein
I've caught their live show twice here in Glasgow and both times they had to apply to Glasgow council for a permit for the amount of pyrotechnics they used, last show used more the the council used on their own outdoor Guy Faulks disply
Superb band Smile

I regularly hear music from Rammstein when I'm at a gig where DeviantUK is playing.
For what I've heard so far, I think they're not that bad!
Some songs I really like.

I haven't been paying attention to their latest efforts, but their first albums are still regularly played at my house (it's my mum's favourite music for when she's cleaning the house). And they do put on an impressive live show... the pyrotechnics help. I remember one time at Werchter: we were about halfway the meadow, and when their fire 'cannons' went on, we could still feel the heat they radiated Shocked !

They often (always?) do the rubber boat thing, at least on 80% of the live coverage I have of them.  IIRC Flake Lorenz (keyboards) used to do it all the time, but was injured at one gig due to over-exhuberant fans.

Not too sure of their specific tour plans for 2009 yet, as they've spent this year in the studio recording a new album, so maybe a launch tour will follow.
