As loads of you are travelling to London for the SM gig in November, I thought I'd pass on another concert tip for those of you who'll still be in London on the 30th: Trio Valore at the London Jazz Cafe. Should be good and the first round's on me

I'm afraid their rendition of "Dam Square" isn't too authentic!
EVERY time I walk across the Dam I usually hear "Pssst! Pssst! Charlie, XTC?" or "Excuse me! Could you spare me an Euro?"!
Anyway, good luck with the gig. _________________ BITE ME! |

Well the Dam better be ready for when I hit the town there in two weeks!
Any good after-gig drinking holes near Paradiso, that you can recommend |

Well that's probably where we'll end up, as the rest of the gang wants to sneak a peek at where the Weller fella's staying ... I'm just gonna corner him in Brussels |

I'd suggest that you try either Bourbon Street or The Last Waterhole, both are in the Leidseplein area, where The Paradiso's located.

Derek's suggestion of the Bar Americain is also a worthwhile place to visit if you want a chat after the gig in less frenetic surroundings. Nice Art Deco interior too. Not a place if any of you are on a tight budget.

Can't remember, but it was a set meal, and the restaurant was really plush. The chairs were half round leather armchairs, very comfortable. The decor was contemporary and very chic.

Derek, if you want the VERY best Italian restaurant outside Tuscany on your next visit to Amsterdam and want a VERY romantic experience to boot, get the concierge to book you a 1st floor canal view table at Casa Di David on Singel. It's where baby's get made, divorce lawyers get their future accounts and anyone sitting at these three tables are guaranteed to be laid ... Oops! I mean, of course, to be treated to the finest Italian food you'll have ever savoured.
