Ashton Lane FireJust been reading through the BBC webpages, and I'm devastated to hear about the major fire yesterday in Ashton Lane, in Glasgow's West End. Some of us who were up in December had a nice trip down that way the day after the Fourgoodmen gig, and to think that there was so much damage done is really sad. (We spent quite a while at the Loft, which was a really nice, relaxing place.) (Sorry Shirl,just seen this) You know I was workin that day and despite the claims of huge flames and tons of smoke,I knew NOTHING about it untill a customer told me about it around 9.30pm.
didn't even see one fire engine. Saying that I have heard that there was alot of damage but as far as i know the Loft is back open as normal(Don't normaly venture round that way,I just head home after work) |
