Bootstock gig Saturday 8 SeptemberJust wondering if anyone is going long? Would have loved to have made it three weekends on the trot (no sign of that helicopter though.....  )

Dear oh dear  ... and we were only a helicopter ride away girls! We'd have livend things up wouldn't we eh.....

Great night with a dramatic early morning start, where Ian informed us that he had no voice. After a little persuasion from the cool Mr. Duffin, Ian rallied to the call of " the show must go on", and put in a belter of a performance, much to the relief of myself and Jane, as we would have had to sing the whole gig , and you wouldn't want that,( excepting Janes Golden Tonsils of course).I was toubled with wind all night, the unfortunate Yvonne and James had to sleep in the same room as the dirty old devil that I am.Graeme's daughter Esther played a blinder of a set, and was accompanied by her father for a few songs. What a player Graeme is. He needs to get out more.Really fantastic response from all the 4gm virgins, and the promoter Grigor, came to our chalet with friends, and partied all night long. Yvonne lasted longest,(5am).No Carrie for this gig, as she was at a wedding on Barra with her dad. Great night. Next day we travelled back down and had a lunch stop in Aviemore. Malk was particularly ill, and Jane wasn't fairing to good either. I think a wee bug was in the air.We all parted at Stirling, with a sigh of relief, ' cos my baker was just torture. Yes, I'm a nice guy, but you wouldn't take me home to your mum.I have booked in to the psychiatrist for later on this week and hope to have ma baker cleaned out, Anyway, enough of my yakkin', y'all have a good weekend. the golfer that is me.

Well thank you very much Mr Forbes that was a very interesting read! Sounds like you had fun even without your "Official 4GM flag wavers" (we could have helped you all out on the vocals you know!) Funny that bug must have made it's way south too as I lost my voice yesterday (FFL can vouch for that ...she could get a word in for a change l!!)
So I take it you won the golf then? Well done - I'll have to get Jim to challenge you to a round on the Callendar course next month - what dya think? Would help if he logged on here now and again though..
Tally ho good weekend to all too (I'm off back to my bed poorly sick.... )

Yes I can honestly say It was daunting first thing in the morning thinking no Ian and Mr F’s baker!!! well the man has a thing about putting jalapenos on everything, at least we didn’t have to stop as many times as we did on the way to Rotherham, he must have had a nappy on!!!

I've just knocked up the Bootstock page as it happens. Only a few photo's on it up to now but hoping for a few additions in the next few days. And yes Andrea, the page is looking a bit bare without a review, and seeing as no-one else from the forum attended...I think I'll have to copy and paste our Degsy's review onto the new page

My review is the edited version of the original, in which James was the pepetrator of the windy episodes. He has the codes, and can edit at will. Never judge a book by it's cover. Read with a pinch of salt , or in James's case a couple of tea spoons of liver salts. Read this quick, before he gets his fingers to the keyboard. You have been warned
