What is the schedule for the running times? ie What time are Fourgoodmen due on stage? Are Passionate Friends supporting, and what time are they due to play?

Sorry for the multi-questioning, but there's going to be a mass exit from the SECC heading to the Classic Grand, and we need to make sure we can get from one to the other in plenty of time!! Smile

Just got back from Manchester..

James, I don't know if you might consider changing the start of Fourgoodmen start time. Simple Minds came on at Manchester just after 8.45pm and played for about 2 and a quarter hours.. By the time we got out of the MEN it was almost 11.15pm. It really is going to be tight for folk to get from the SECC to the Classic Grand in time to see Fourgoodmen start their set, if the shows are running to the same time schedule throughout the Simple Minds tour.. (just a thought)

Sandra, the daytime meet up is at Times Square on 4 December. Karen, a pal of mine, has secured a room there for us to have an afternoon get together. I think it all starts off there about 2pm.. Not too sure what time we'll get into Glasgow from Newcastle, but hopefully we'll be there before 3pm.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to get online tomorrow am before leaving for Birmingham.

don't worry about everyone being there on time. We will delay our start until we are sure you are all there. We have the Classic Grand until 3am, so if it means we go on a bit later, it won't matter to us, and hopefully all of you. Let's party. Thanks for changing the start time, Derek (first time back on the pc since the SM dates, so sorry for the late reply!!)

I've just about recovered from a week's touring, (and there's a chance I could be seeing KB tomorrow night!! Shocked

)

Glasgow was a very special night for me, and the best way possible to finish off what has been an incredible week. The gigs have been great, and included great support from both Deacon Blue and The Alarm, but most special to me was meeting up with folk from both SSM and Fourgoodmen forums who I'd been in touch with via the net, but hadn't met until now. I thought I'd be out on my middleaged feet by the Fourgoodmen gig, but somehow had the energy to be one of the last to leave Classic Grand, and wishing that the night could go on and on!! Still there is more of the same to come on 28 December, and good to see so many folk already deciding to make the return trip for that..

To all the guys n gals in the band and to all who I met up with on the night, a big thank you from all the travelling posse who enjoyed the show immensely. It was a long night but more than worth it.

I am now back home in Perth, Oz and much to my delight it is a lovely brighty sunny and warm day but I feel very sad to have left such good friends behind. I guess it is now only a matter of ........until the next time eh!!

I managed to have a quick chat with Derek and Ian after the show and also with Brian Magee..... hopefully some pics to follow once I have sorted everything out later today.

What a great night we had on the 4th - have meant to post before now but has been impossible - had a fantastic trip to Glasgow, great to meet up those I have met before and a pleasure to meet some new people too. 4GM were superb, so many highlights to list, thanks to everyone and especially Derek, can't make the 28th but will be at Edinburgh in July for that other little show! Looking forward to seeing 4GM again soon. Happy Xmas to everyone - Andy.

A Fife gig would be brilliant!! First post since the 4th and I have to say that we all had the best time ever. Better than the "main event" at the SECC?.....YOU BET IT WAS!
Great to meet up with the band members.Derek was a gentleman and Jane and Hubby were a great laugh.
Only downside was a 2 day hangover..but it was worth it!!!

Think Kittys in kirkcaldy would be the ideal venue Gav.

Rothes halls in glenrothes good as well but lot bigger than kittys.

Brannigans in Leven is also a possibility. Plenty Minds fans through this neck of the woods!
