Finally...Been here on and off for a while now.
Busy hammering up drywalls and getting our home built these days.
Big fan of Simple Minds, Big Country and Propaganda. Enjoying watching the Propaganda clips on YouTube at the moment.
I think it's connected that when I think of songs from the 80's, Dream to Sleep always popped in my head. Although so did Cry Boy Cry and White Lines, so I don't know if that's good or bad lol.
I've always been a fan of the early Minds stuff like Fear of Gods, Scar and I still love playing the Life in a Day album. Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings is my favourite album, I think it always will be.
My greatest achievement/pride will always be setting up BFTT which went onto become Sample Minds. Hours I would play the songs on the piano, then I will always be grateful for Ste Robinson for encouraging me to do something about it.
I would learn the piano playing along to Simple Minds songs and other stuff (my party pieces were either Bruce Hornsby's The Way it is, The Associates - Party fears Two, or the classic start to Book of Brilliant Things from 1985 before I was too pissed to play on!!)
I learnt the guitar playing along to U2 stuff and Big Country's The Crossing.
I've been in bands that have supported The Fall, Duran Duran and Tim Machine in the past. But it was always great to go on stage and play my favourite songs.
Some will know, I've called it a day with Sample Minds now. It's great to have the spare time now which was usually taken up by rehearsing. I had to give it 150% just to be confident to walk on the stage.
Looking forward to setting up the spare room as a music room, and going back to creating music at a leisurely pace. I've just bought a bass guitar too, I've already sussed Themes for Great Cities and I Travel!!
Anyway that's about it.

don't ask Shirls, it was actually our wedding day last year.
Had fun doing it, me and Steve did a set after his 9 hour Sinatra stint.
The more into the set the more drunk I got!!
