GREAT NEWS FROM THE LAST WORLDI will be putting a sampler of the new Sons of Dan tracks onto all our sites. Mick and I were working on them today, ( well Mick really) ( and he made the coffee). The songs are written by Forbes, MacNeil and McGee.
The three tracks we have chosen are edited into small sections, so as not to let the cat out of the bag.
Tonight is in fact the night, if I can manage it.

If we could tie it up in time for the 30th Anniversary year that would be great. If Jim sees sense, then maybe we will all get together for at least some live performances. This will not interfere with 4gm plans though. Maybe a double header with Sons of Dan could be on the cards for then. What a night that would be.Thanks for coming to the gigs at the weekend Shirl....sterling effort

It was great to be there Derek.. though I had a bit of an adventure travelling wise to say the least.. The coaches were delayed, firstly the one from Glasgow to Perth, then the one from Perth to Pitlochry (it was waiting for other connecting buses to come in, I think). I got to Pitlochry about an hour behind schedule. That set me on a panic about the journey back home on the Sunday. The woman on the desk at Buchanan Bus Station had every confidence that the bus I was due to get into Glasgow at 2.45pm would connect me with the 3.15 for Liverpool.. Well I wasn't too sure, especially after what had happened on the way north. Thankfully, my pals Craig and Annette made the journey from Glasgow and offered me a lift back with them which I accepted gratefully.. I didn't see the coach I was due to get on come in (unless it was a Stagecoach service that came in about 3.00) Still too close to call..
I don't think I'll get to any other gigs over the summer months, so it was good to catch up with you all before I got serious withdrawal symptoms. I had toyed with the idea of going to Pitlochry, but wasn't sure of committing to it until I knew that it was logistically possible, financially and personally. However, I'm delighted I made the trip, and it was great to make some new friends on my travels.
