Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes. I've had the most amazing weekend (I think I said something similar about the previous weekend!!) I flew out to Belfast on Friday with Maureen, and met up with our Geordie pal Sheila there. Spent the best part of the night in Fibber Magees pub, and enjoyed some great live music - Some traditional, some just general typical crowd pleasers. Also visited the historical Crown Liquor Rooms, which reminded me of the Philharmonic pub in Liverpool. On Saturday we did a bit of shopping before taking a taxi tour of the city, which included the Falls Road, Shankill, Milltown graveyard, various monuments and the peace line. It was a real eyeopener, but probably the highlight of the trip. Saturday night we were back on the razz. Funnily enough, we bumped into a hen party from Newcastle.. Seems the place is popular with the Geordies, lol.. We flew back yesterday, Kirsty met Maureen and myself at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, then it was a quick dash to Maureen's before heading off to Manchester to catch up with Spear, my Babylontalks buds and Loretta of course!! No doubt I'll catch up with you soon.. I could still be celebrating!!
