New Sons of Dan tracks added to Dereks and 4gm MyspaceAt last you can hear a small part of what we have been recording. The tracks are in very early form. I played guitar solo on first track which I will be replacing , don't worry, we just needed something at that part of the song. We have only included three of the 5 songs, as it was getting too long, and we had to chop loads out. Let us know what you think. There is more to come, and remember, these tracks are nowhere near complete...hope you enjoy...

Just had a listen (and added the song to my profile, thanks that we can do that ), LOVE the sampler its superb well done to you guys. Can't wait to hear more.
There are some MEAN guitar bits on it, hope they will stay there....brilliant .

Yes chaps, there wioll be vocals. I am off to America on Monday for a family holiday. I am staying at my old Spear of Destiny's roadie Woody's house and meeting up with Spear guitarist John McNutt and Spear drummer Art Smith for jamming sessions. In between times I will be writing lyrics for these tracks, as I have the full versions on my ipod. We may farm out for lyrics if need be, or if Mr Kerr would like to get in contact there may still be time to do the sensible thing on an 'All For One' basis...The way it used to be...No matter what the outcome, there will be an album coming out with at least the three Original Minds .If it ain't broke don't fix it....

btw : i can't find the "sons of dan simple sampler" on the 4gm myspace site ... & on derek's site it isn't "add-able" ! 
have i missed something here ?

Really hope there will be a release of Sons of Dan at some point.
I remember listening to a promising demo on Micks site that never saw the light of day, except a very similar track called Voices in our Heads that ended up as an extra track on the free Simple Minds Sunday Express cd by a guy called Austin Stuart Hanlin.
