PROPAGANDAA bit after Derek's involvement with the band, but Propaganda recorded material for an album release that never was.
Recorded in 1998, leaked online in 2002, this is the material recorded by Michael Mertens, Claudia Brucken, and Suzanne Freytag that was never released by their label. The first song, "Cloud 9" was re-recorded for OneTwo's first EP, and "Dream Within A Dream" is a brand new version (pretty cool update). It's hard to describe, but I'd call it 'electro-lounge' with some elements of old Propaganda evident throughout. I hope NWO is cool with this not being an actual 1980's album, but I know there's a lot of Propaganda fans here, and it seems fitting since it's rare & unreleased material from a band associated with one of the finest albums of the '80s. Just seems like the ideal venue to share this item. Enjoy, folks!

I will surely enjoy this! Thanks a million, Tabsy!
My computer is now busy downloading it, so I will have some great stuff added to my collection soon! (still think my vinyl is the best, but they can't be put on my mp3 player! )

Are you referring to yourself here, Tabsy?
I don't grab, so I guess you were!
I enjoy, that something completely different!
(and don't reply with: "and I enjoy grabbing", that's too predictable! )

No Edith, you've gotta grab these downloads while they're still online. I mean, unreleased material shouldn't really be on the net to download, but while it is.......grab it.

Well, in that case: I grabbed!
I just love these bands and I'm always searching for vinyl of them on markets and all.
Tonight though I was into Marillion, the old group that is. I liked them the most when Fish was still in the group.
He still sounds great! Found some recordings of Fish on YouTube.
I know it's nothing to do with this thread, but just thought to share it. Delete my message if it's inappropriate.

Spoken like a true manager: delegate!
But I'm not sensitive to delegating managers, had to deal with them too much in my job!
So you start the thread and decide what people can post exactly. I might not use the correct words, so people might not understand. By the way: is a video of Transaudio's rehearsal allowed too? (a girl can ask!)

Download time again folks, for those who are interested...
from the same source as the previous one - this time in WMA format -->
Now available for download is the best-quality recording (to my knowledge) of Propaganda in concert. I believe it's FM sourced (I'd heard it was broadcast in Canada), but it has soundboard characteristics (lots of treble, a little light on the low end). For me, this was the ultimate Propaganda collector's item (aside from the unreleased album). I have two other Propaganda concerts, but their quality is far inferior to this show. Don't be afraid to bring the low end up and treble down on your EQ (or you may like it as-is). This is an energetic set, with an enthusiastic crowd.
Couple of notes on this one: Derek Forbes and Brian McGee appear here, 5 years previous to the 1234 LP, and they really help bring Propaganda's songs to life on stage. Ralf Dorper, the 4th member of Propaganda, did not tour with the band (he may have played with them in Europe..not sure). I know he had some sort of part-time banking job, and that allegedly kept him from touring with the band (maybe just overseas, again, not sure). Oh, one last thing, don't be fooled by the distant-sounding audio for "Jewel" in the beginning. What you're hearing is the intro music over the house system. The sound is right in front once the band starts to play.
Anyway..details!

I certainly will. Hey, a knew you'd like another dose of the downloads Edith. Seeing as Derek is on the latest one, maybe we should chip in a quid or two towards royalties.
It might get him half a stout in eez local.

Edith
|
haha!
Royalties eh? Again, thinking like a true manager!
Derek might receive a royalty status before that!
