Simple Minds in BelfastI heard good reports from Belfast last night. The Minds played a 2 hour set and were almost as good as us (sic). It was great to hear from Mel the other day. I caught him just before they played their 'secret gig' in Brussels. Good Luck to Mel, Jim, Charlie, Mister Ben and Aled Jones on their Glasgow gig on Sunday. Hope you play 'The Naked Eye' or 'Garden of Hate' with McGee on backing vocals. Race you to the Top!!!!!

Not the best end to a show!!! made a bit of mess of New Gold Dream, however it was a great gig and the punters were Loving it, well apart from the new songs which didn’t get much reaction, where as the Gathering weekend in Wales for The Alarm was nothing short of amazing given Mike Peters condition and the reaction on hearing a new album for the first time was fantastic, just what the doctor ordered!!!

I’m not bitter, just saying what I thought of the gig, it was a good gig but the new songs just do anything for me, if I was bitter I would not be travelling to Belfast, Aberdeen, and Glasgow!!!
oh and thats after the weekend in Wales at the Gathering!!!

Hey, sorry about that. That was a wee personal joke to the band. Believe me, they understand my humour, and would certainly get a laugh out of it. Simple Minds are in my blood and I won't hear a bad word said against them. Hope the tour goes through the roof, and remember, we are keeping the flag flying for not only Simple Minds, but Big Country, H2o and all the guests bands as well. So come on the Rabs....you probably won't get that one either!!!
