I now find that I can't get to Manchester after all, as I've been booked a place at the Lifeboats Christmas meal.. However the good news is, that I could get to Oran Mor... (if finances allow..) Fingers firmly crossed!!

I'm looking forward to the gig at the Rigger, Newcastle (Stoke) on 13 December. Unfortunately I can't get to either Oran Mor (due to Capercaillie rescheduled gig) or Manchester (Lifeboats Christmas meal).
I've been in touch with Mark at Netmerch and provisionally booked accommodation in Crewe for Westworld, and should be getting my gig tickets for the event some time before the end of the year.. |

Great stuff Will.. I might just be going to Mansfield tomorrow night. I was hoping to get to the Rigger on Thursday, but that has gone on the backburner (unless my friend Maureen has better news about the car/finances).
Just to let folk know... Theatre Of Hate have been confirmed as support to The Cult on only part of the UK tour. To my knowledge, there are no plans for them to support them in Glasgow, but they will be on the same bill on some dates, thankfully Manchester included.. |

Wish I could be there on Friday, but it's the Lifeboats Christmas Meal, and tickets have been bought. Not to worry, as I said, I'm hoping to be at the Rigger tomorrow night. Enjoy Manchester.. it should be a corker..

Loretta.. double check with the venue that the gig is definitely happening tonight. Robin, the drummer, managed to get himself a nasty eye injury in the soundcheck at the Rigger, which meant him spending his time at casualty while the gig went ahead without him. Kirk played an acoustic set, then Craig and Adrian joined him on guitars for some more upbeat stuff. They may do the same again in Manchester, possibly play with Robin (depending on the state of the injury) or maybe even pull the gig. I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you.. the acoustic stuff was a bit special..
If I get any further news later, I'll let you know.. |

Sorry Guys and Girls as you may have already heard Robin has badly injured his left eye when a drum stick he was using during soundcheck before last nights Rigger gig shattered and splintered into his eye. After 6 and 1/2 hours in the accident and emergency unit and 4 hours with an eye specialist this morning we have no choice but to move tonight's show in Manchester and tomorrow's show in Leeds to after Christmas. As soon as we have confirmed new dates a new mail out will be sent. SOD HQ |

SOD have rearranged their Manchester and Leeds gigs for 2 and 3 February.. (Shirl's in Belfast on her birthday weekend...) Argh...... Still Westworld beckons in April!!
