TABNAB'S ROTHERHAM PHOTO'SA belated thankyou to Dan Millard for organising the 'Celebration' gig in Rotherham last month. This was by far the best 4GM gig I've been to and Sample Minds played a big part in it's success too.
It was nice to catch up with a few of the forum regulars and also to meet new friends, mostly from the SoSimpleMinded forum. The hotel was very nice, apart from the beer and it was great to catch up with the band again, at the meet and greet, and later at the venue and hotel.
Best moments were...
Photographing the 3 stooges in the dug-out
Derek playing alongside Sample Minds - New Gold Dream
Mick, Derek and Brian playing a slot together.
Getting a free t-shirt and pass
Getting a bit pissed
Getting a kebab from the Lahore opposite the venue (even though the gadgey took 30 minutes to put it together )
Also when Phil replied to Owen Paul's comment about his one hit wonder paying for a house back in '86...saying 'Yeah, but how much were houses back then?....about 5 grand!!!
Infact, the whole event was brilliant. Here's a few photo's for you all...
The Fun Foxy Lady..... with Sandra.....he he he
Much of the same
Brian McGee and Shirley (Jean Genie)
Mick, Derek and Jim (Andrea's Hubby)
Phil and Derek
Brian McGee and that Fun Foxy Lady again

Really great pictures!
I must admit, Fun, you do look great on Derek!
By the way, did you receive the picture of my end of the deal? Hope you liked it.
And I'm really great you could hear the gig, wasn't sure you would.
See you in December! I will receive a new cellphone with a better contract, so hopefully this one will work in Scotland!

No, I've sent you a picture on your msn mail.
But if you think that picture of me with Scott is great, wait until I receive the pictures the people of the venue took from me and Scott during the gig! Singing Enjoy The Silence with his arm around me! (jealous now? )

Re: TABNAB'S ROTHERHAM PHOTO'SGreat photos Tabs!!!
Looks like you really captured the moment! Everyone looks like they're having such a great time (except for the bored sprogs manning the merchandise stall)

Hi Dakota
I told Owen his song will be in my napper (head) for days and sure enough as I left the after show party with a little stagger I started to sing out loud "Your My Favourite Waste of Time" and then I looked up and Owen was laughing as he was sititng on a sofa waiting on his wife I said I told ya so
What a lovely guy

Yes, other than that I'm keeping an eye on that Billy at work. I will have to set his idle hands to work, but they're too tired off holding them gigantic sandwiches of his at bait time. His baps are almost as big as yours pet.....he he.

Sprayed it with tea eh Billy, it meks a change from that other stuff then. Aye, ya cannit wakk a good pair o' baps...not the crusty ones though. They're a bit hard ti sink yer teeth into.
Also a sparse layer of 'I can't believe it's not butter' helps the bap down a tad easier. As for you supping tea dear Billy boy. I'm on the Woodpecker Cider...so shove that up yer 'Gary Glitter'
Tea you say. oh dear...you'll be on the Earl Grey next young whippersnapper.
