The Bass On Sons And Fascination/Sister Feelings Call?Derek,
What were you playing on the album? The Sunburst Precision or the WAL? On the opening bars to "Themes ...", you have a seriously rasping sound, were you grating the pick up the strings?

I use all my basses on the albums, but 'Themes For Graet Cities' was just my Sunburst Precision, my sound is created through sheer belief in what I'm doing...I really put my soul into the parts...as Jim Kerr used to say 'Hit Me', when I played. 'The Kick Inside of Me' had blood splattering all over the studio, and I think you can hear it. Paul McGuinness was in the studio when I recorded it, and was shocked with the passion in my performance, and he then named me the Once and Future King...that's where my monicker is taken from, not the book of the film of the book of the film of the book etc...it's about time the usurpers were kicked into touch.....

Care to share your bass inventory/history? So har I have the Sunburst Precision, the WAL, the Propoganda-era ULTRA sexy 4-string Passion, the Powder Puff Blue 5-string Passion, the Vigier Arpege Nautilus (I'll await you calling me BEFORE Christies or Sothebys!!!) and the latest Vigier Excess in the files.
