Transaudio gig in Holland 15th of September!!

I would like to announce that I've organised a gig of the Scottish rockband Transaudio.
They will perform on Saturday 15th of September 2007, at the Rock&Bluescafé Fishline, Zaandam. Free entrance.
Starting time of the gig will be announced as soon as we decided on all the arrangements for that day.

To give you an idea who they really are, I give you a link to their rehearsal video of their new single Dying Star, which was just released.

I though it would probably be a good thing to post Transaudio's tour agenda on here.

Maybe some of you want to do them and me a pleasure by coming to their gigs and check them out?

And as I'm seeing them in Glasgow this Sunday: any questions, messages etc. can be posted to my mailbox here before Friday evening, so I can bring them with me.

Unbelievable that no-one reacts to this thread!
The response on the sosimpleminded forum was much better! I even got people interested in buying their latest album!

Have a look at the cover of their last album, I made a picture of it!
Recognise the engineer? (Kevin Burleigh!) Still not interested in checking them out?

You're terrible, Tabsy! I never am agressive towards people, you should know that! I will have plenty of ice cubes in the freezer to cure it! Laughing
And I'm counting on that closing the door to the staircase will lessen the sound! Wink

Oh no Edith, don't lessen the sound.
Everyone at the gig needs to hear the band at their loudest.
Erm, that WAS what you meant wasn't it? Cool
Edith

No, I meant lessen the sound of the snoring by closing the door to our stairs to the bedroom I will be sleeping! That's what I meant! Wink

I am sure the sound of the gig will be perfect and we will have a blast!
And I'm pretty sure I will be driving a quartet of drunk Scotsmen back home with me after the gig! Laughing
You know what they say about our Dutch beers eh?

That's nice of you to offer them a ride Edith. You must be their number one fan. Good on ya
Edith

Well, it's more than that actually Tabsy.

They will be staying at our place, so why drive in two cars if you all go back to the same address? Laughing

A little update from me about the gig:

It's only 11 days until their debut gig in Holland on the 15th of September, and the coming days their gig will be promoted in the regional papers and on the radiostations Zaanradio and FunRadioFM.

If you don't want to miss out on that, check out Zaanradio on Thursday the 13th, the programme Live and Puur (20:00 - 22:00 Dutch Time, which is +1GMT). You can listen to it on a livestream on the internet: http://www.zaanradio.nl/
(on the page showing, you'll find "Streaming Radio", just click on the word "hier")
I don't know how much promoting Zaanradio will do, just that will be promoting them during that particular programme. It can be only a short message about the gig, but I am also trying to get them to interview the band. Hope I can organise that, no luck so far. Maybe because the studio still can't call abroad from the studio! Laughing Remember that one, Ian?

FunRadioFM is an internet radiostation, which has been promoting Transaudio for the last month and will keep on promoting the group and their gig.
As it is a radiostation taking requests, you can request a song of Transaudio to help us promote them!
You can find the radiostation here:
http://www.funradiofm.nl/
The livestream will start automatically. Your requests can by typed when you click on the button "Verzoekjes".

And check out the press release in the regional paper Zaans Stadsblad on the 12th of September.
This regional paper can also be read on the internet:

RADIO INTERVIEW ON ZAANRADIO!!

Tune in to Zaanradio on Thursday the 13th, the programme Live and Puur.
Between 21:00 and 21:15 (that's 20:00 and 20:15 UK Time), the singer of Transaudio Scott Prentice will be called during the broadcast for a live interview!!
You can listen to it on a livestream on the internet:
http://www.zaanradio.nl/
(on the page showing, you'll find "Streaming Radio", just click on the word "hier")

For those knowing what happened when the same radiostation wanted to interview Ian Donaldson last April:
It is true, they still can't call abroad from the studio! But that was solved easily: I will forward my homenumber to Scott's and they can just call a Dutch phonenumber! haha!
I never see a problem, only a challange! lol

So tune in to Zaanradio and hear all about Transaudio and their gig on the 15th in Zaandam!
Edith

Attention to those coming to the gig on the 15th:

I advise you to park your car in the nearby Rozenhof parking garage near the Zaantheater.
This is because of a huge funfair at the Burcht parking square and some surrounding streets, right in front of Café Fishline!!!
I told you this gig would be a blast! Laughing

If you come by train, you can either take a cab to the venue or walk about 20 minutes to the venue from the Zaandam railway station.
Just follow the shopping street, go over the bridge and take the first street to your right. Follow that road and you'll see a white building on the left, with a small street to the left which will take you to the funfair and Café Fishline.

See you all there!
Edith

Relaxing after an amazing weekend with Transaudio!

The gig was just perfect, the band really rocked, the audience enjoyed their music tremendously.
And the extra day with the band was something I'll never forget!

I'll be receiving pictures from a lot of people, which I will all upload to my photobucket. But that'll take some time.
In the meantime, take a look at this little teaser I already created:

FUNFOXYLADY007

Thanks for phoning me I heard them cool Very Happy

See ya in December

xx
Edith

To finish this subject about the Transaudio debut in Holland, I will treat you to a couple of recordings.

This is the radio interview of Zaanradio with the singer of the band, Scott Prentice. The dj is the very same who also interviewed Ian:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUTeOKDvPyo

I also give you the link to two recordings I uploaded to my YouTube site.

The morning after the gig, they did a little acoustic performance in our living room. Scott usually has a stronger voice, but he had a little bit too much of our famous Dutch beers and suffered from a hangover! Wink
He sounds great anyway.
Have a look and enjoy! It's completely different from the electro-rock sound they normally do!

It really was amazing to have the guys around for the weekend.
And them playing in our livingroom was such a sweet thing to do!
We did that for two reasons, one of them was because the lighting in the venue was too little to record anything.
But the main reason for them was to please my kids, because they couldn't come to the venue (weren't allowed in a pub).

And it really was an aftershow, for it was the 'morning after' the gig!
That explains why Scott has no strength in his voice and why he looks terrible (too much Dutch beer! lol).
