Derek and Mick... I m really pleased for the both of you. Derek how are you feeling about this exciting news? Somewhere awhile ago.... I wrote and said this would happen. Im only to happy for the both of you that it has. Hmmm, interesting concept Patrick. This dosen't mean Mick and Derek are leaving 4GM; it only means they will be recording some new songs with Jim, Charlie and Brian.
I'm really over the moon for Mick and Derek, I'm really pleased with you lads and I couldn't be prouder!

Worry ye not good people. I had a fantastic conversation with Jim the other day, and we will always be close no matter what . It was just like the old days, with the two of us laughing and joking. Don't get me wrong, we are very serious about the work ahead, and I just know that whatever we end up with will be killer. There is a history and a chemistry which will never leave the five of us, and this will ensure quality tracks at the end of the recording. I am preparing myself for the best writing of my life. I can't wait to catch up with Charlie Pirhana and wee Strokey...

good luck to Derek & Mick - two increadibly loved members of Simple Minds - giving their talent and enthusiasm towards the 30th Anniversary of the band.
I cant wait to hear the result! As for FGM - i cant see this band dying - they are just too good for that. Any news is good news when icludes band members past and present. |

I can confirm that ALL the guys in 4GM were buzzing after the gig on Saturday and 4GM will still be playing live as fourgoodmen….we have some chat going on at the moment and hope to announce more dates very soon…………
