To be honest, when I was dating my German ex-girlfriend, I often resorted to calling my two mutts "Adolf" and "Eva" when we were out walking them!

Aye it's always good to have a we bit of provenance and or history behind a dugs name.
Wi' ma two I picked Atka for the boy, as it's the Inuit word for "Guardian Spirit" and Bear was lnamed due to the fact that she looked like a wee polar bear. Don't see too many Malamutts going around with names like Rex or Fifi!
