There seems to be some confusion re the date...
I - like most people - assumed that this was the extravaganza planned for the day of the Glasgow SM gig (which is the 4th December, I think), but on the Myspace bulletins posted through Mick's and SoD's account it says 28th December Confused

Unfortunately, there won't be any 'end of year' festivities in Glasgow for me, given all the traveling in the UK end of November/early December.

Their FaceBook pages also says 28th of December Shocked

. I don't think I can make it then, to busy at my house end of December with xmas and mine and my daughters birthdays. Also the flights are twice as expensive (4th dec. 75 euro's 28th 156 euro's) Crying or Very sad

The Extravaganza is on the 4th of December. The same day as the Minds play Glasgow. Unfortunately Mick, Brian and myself were not asked to perform with the other two Original members of Simple Minds on the tour, but we wish them nothing but the best for the coming tour. We, Mick , Brian and Derek (myself), have decided to play the shows on that day, so that all Minds fans will have the chance to come along and see and meet us, playing, and at the aftershow party, which goes on until 3am. Yes it's a pity that things didn't work out with the Original scenario, but what a day the 4th of December will be for all our loyal fans. 'Sons and Fascination anyone?..... All welcome for the party of the year...
