what a difference a single missing letter makes !
btw : derek , i suppose that it's finally time to change the band name from "four good men" ( 4gm ) to "some guys & gals from way up north , who play rocking good tunes" ... or sgagfwunwprgt !
p. s. : my 100th posting here - hey !
cheers , fellows !

BTW, I quite like The Alarm. I remember them doing a gig at Sunderland Poly back in the early 80's. During the daytime they shot some pool in a Sunderland pub called THE OLD 29. It was the only pub in town with a glass carpet . I was passing the pub when Mr Peters came out and nearly flattened me with his bouffant. He never even saw me.
And he went marching on... |
In a Blaze Of Glory with the Spirit Of 76..
Roll on Manchester on 8/15/22 Nobember for the Guerilla Tactics gigs!! |

Here's an official statement for you Brad before our old friend in Boston starts posting it everywhere without permission...
fourgoodmen are playing both gigs in December as planned.
There will be a host of new songs,( originals ), as well as some of the classics, but it will be radically different to what's went before.
We are all meeting in Glasgow on Friday night to plan the shows.
I can assure you all, that the band have never been more determined to make the shows work, and to keep 4gm alive. The response has been incredible. Mick is gone. Long Live Mick. He has offered to help us out with anything we need...We miss him already, but we will soldier on, as you would expect...
Graeme has left the building too. Thanks for all you have done for us Graeme. It has been a real joy and priviledge to work with you....oh, and ...get your bloody hair cut...
Great emails from a lot of our fans, encouraging us to keep going, and an especially good one from FFL....at this rate , she may get that drink from me...thanx Sandra x
Great texts from the Swedes on Saturday night. I was steamin', and only remembered Patrik had texted me when I saw the International number for Sweden on my phone...Well done 4goodswedes
Oh Canada......are you flying over Brad? Hope to see you...
take care amigo's

Mick was in for Ben's pizza on Sunday, confirmed to me he'd left(hadn't been on here so I didn't post that)He did tell me that he would help out when ever needed and would still be in touch with the band
I wished him luck for his future and I also got a wee giggle from the wee yin (such a cute wee baby ) _________________ Hyde |

It'll be the wonderful Stevie Grantley on drums
Aye Ash.. you can't keep a good (?!) girl down.. Keith is just doing the middle one of the Alarm dates, though he will be venturing north to Paisley for Hallowfest to see the likes of Sample Minds and Monument (not forgetting Big Vern and the Shootahs).. Colin and Sheila will be in your neck of the woods on 4 October, but it's looking unlikely that Keith and the family Gibson will be there.. you never know though.. Look out for the North Tyneside Pipe Band in their full glory that day anyway and feel free to give our mutual buds a wave!!
See you soon, Shirl xx |

I might be photographing that one Shirl - as part of the Houghton Feast.
I think it's high time to get some candid people shots for my site
All in the best possible taste of course.
Ere Shirl, the calendars are out this week. Do you still want one?
Send me a PM and let me know, as I'm off down the Tourist Information in Sunderland tomorrow morning to get me hands on a batch.
Maybe I could do a 2009 glamour calendar of the 4MW. 3 pages apiece - or should that read PAGE 3 apiece!
Only jestin, pet. |
